Chifeng Zhaowuda Women's Sustainable Development Association (CZWSDA)

The mission of the Chifeng Zhaowuda Women's Sustainable Development Association, CZWSDA, is to use national and international supports (including financial and non-financial supports) to empower women comprehensively (especially the poor women) by providing them credit, technical assistance and market information; set up self-reliance communities for the poor, to promote poverty alleviation work and the social, economical and environmental development of Chifeng.

CZWSDA was established in 1998 in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program and the Chifeng Women's Federation (a national government agency). Executive Director, Huo Guilin and Hoa Jinlian have led the development of the organization since its inception. CZWSDA currently has over 3,100 clients, a gross loan portfolio of over a $1 million USD, and a historical on-time repayment rate of over 99%. CZWSDA has received over $200,000 in debt investment from the Grameen Foundation and has been negotiating investment from KFW Financial Cooperation for the past three years. CZWSDA provides urban and rural, as well as group and individually guaranteed loans.
